Course Details

This course delivers innovative strategies that use the arts to unlock your students’ potential in literacy and numeracy. Discover how to incorporate narrative, process drama, character and conflict into lesson planning for literacy and numeracy outcomes.  Share ideas on reducing anxiety for your students, fostering inclusion and growing your students’ confidence to better grasp and communicate their knowledge in these key curriculum areas. Monkey Baa has developed this content over their two-year teacher PD programs in Far North Queensland and Western Sydney. The course is particularly relevant for introducing drama as a teaching tool in Maths and English lessons.

Completing Active Pedagogy in the Primary Classroom will contribute 5 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 3.2.2, 4.1.2 & 6.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teachers Accreditation in NSW.
