Blue Mountains Nepean Dance Festival

The Blue Mountains Nepean Dance Festival is an inclusive annual event that has promoted dance in public schools for more than 30 years. Each year, public schools in the Blue Mountains and Nepean River districts are invited to submit dance items for inclusion in the program.

The festival involves around 3000 students from more than 50 schools across the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury-Nepean areas. It provides quality learning experiences in the performing arts, promotes dance within our schools, and offers students the opportunity to perform publicly at a professional local venue.

The festival is staged annually at The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.
