New England Dance Festival

Performances will take place on Thursday 12 November and Friday 13 November 2026 (Term 4 Week 5).

Venue: TRECC Tamworth, Greg Norman Drive, Hillvue NSW 2340
Times: 6:30 pm each evening.

• Access to the holding area for the performance will open at 5:30 pm.
• Items will be allocated a performance date and will be performed on 1 night only.

• Groups are to consist of a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 35 students.
• Dance is not to exceed 3 minutes.

Participation fee: $25 per student

• Please note that this is a one-time participation fee (regardless of how many items a student may dance in) and includes a New England Dance Festival cap.

• The video is to assist the committee in programming the event.
• A separate video must be submitted for each item.
• One student must be in costume.
• The item should be complete at the time of the video.

• Recording from a phone or tablet mounted on a tripod is of sufficient quality for the audition video.
• Record the performance in one continuous take from a wide angle to ensure all performers are seen.  Do not zoom in and out.
• Spend time rehearsing, recording and reviewing your audition video.
• Where possible, minimise external light sources by covering windows to avoid interference with visual contrast.

• Visit youtube.com and create an account or sign in.
• Select upload.
• Follow the instructions onscreen to upload your video.
• Once uploaded, on privacy settings select unlisted (anyone with this link can view) and save changes. This is important because it means the general public cannot view the link.
•  When complete, your video will have a URL.
