Read, more, score! resource kit

Read, Move, Score! is a soccer-themed resource kit designed to harness the excitement of the FIFA World Cup and encourage students to develop positive reading habits while staying active. Suitable for a wide range of ages and reading abilities, the kit provides engaging opportunities for students to connect reading, physical activity and friendly participation.

The kit includes a comprehensive list of soccer-themed Premier's Reading Challenge titles across all booklist levels, a Book Bites World Cup tournament template that helps students discover and vote for their favourite books through the Book Bites podcast, and a Reading World Cup Trading Card Challenge where students create their own reader profile and complete reading challenges to improve their personal reading statistics.

The kit also includes links to Premier's Sporting Challenge resources and School Sport Unit football activities, helping schools keep students engaged both in the library and out on the field.

PRC 25th anniversary special with Jason Gent

Join Jason Gent as he shares the inspiration behind his verse novel This Season’s Draft, discusses his writing journey, and offers practical advice on writing in verse by finding ideas from everyday life. He also presents a creative challenge for NSW high school students, asking them to write an original verse piece inspired by their school year and hobbies.

Accompanying the video is a comprehensive resource kit that includes Jason’s creative challenge, an introduction to writing in verse, and planning and drafting activities to help students develop their own piece.

Students can submit their entries for a chance to win a verse novel prize pack and a signed copy of This Season’s Draft.

PRC 25th anniversary special with Anh Do

Anh Do answers some of your students’ most burning questions, featuring queries submitted by NSW students from across the state. In this video, Anh shares recommendations for his other books you might enjoy, offers creative writing tips, and presents his very own creative challenge: a short writing task inspired by Wolf Girl.

Accompanying the video is a comprehensive resource kit that includes Anh’s writing prompt and planning tips to help students get started. Students can enter their short story for a chance to win signed copies of the Wolf Girl series.

Author interview – Kristin Darell

Join Kristin Darell and the Taronga Zoo education team as they explore Kristin’s Taronga Presents series, her other titles, and discuss the important topic of wildlife conservation. Kristin sets a creative challenge: write your very own zookeeper talk about your favourite animal. Plus, she shares useful research tips to help students create an informed and engaging presentation.

Accompanying the video is a comprehensive resource kit that includes Kristin’s creative challenge along with research and planning tips to help students get started.

Students can submit their zookeeper talks for a chance to win signed copies of the Taronga Presents series, as well as entry and a free education tour for one class provided by the Taronga Zoo Education team.
