Intersection: Beat – the videos
The films and interviews in this eResource comprise our reimagining of the NSW Public Schools Drama Company production of Intersection: Beat 2020.
‘Fight of Flight’ by Bernadette Fam is here in its entirety and filmed using a combination of location and studio shots.
‘Race Me’ by Daisy Coyle is filmed on location and is a complete short film.
‘It’s Your Birthday Party’ is a short extract from Shevaun Rutherford’s script set on a spaceship on its long journey from Earth to our new home. Taking a small section of the script, we played with green screen technology in how we might bring part of the play to life using digital technology.
‘Maralinga’ is a short extract of Bradley Ward’s play exploring the friendship of two young men as they finish school and embark on an adventure to Maralinga with an outcome that will define the very nature of loss and trust. In this film we filmed the cast separately and spliced them together to find a unity and individuality to their narratives.
We’ve interviewed cast, writers, creatives and crew and you will find these accompanying resources here.
