Audition process
- Auditions will occur in two parts.
- The first session will be a live performance of a piece of free choice designed to show the singer’s ability, 2 minutes maximum, with backing to best show the singer’s pitching with an accompaniment.
- No costumes or props, but the audition should demonstrate a prepared performance.
- It need not be from the start of the selected piece.
- Please note: Vocal auditions will be stopped at 2 minutes. Please do not be offended if your audition is stopped; this is purely to ensure all auditions have equal time
- Students will be advised immediately of their success in reaching the call back session from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
- In this part of this audition, students will be asked to sing harmonies, learn a part to a short song, along with choreography.
- Students should have some experience in ensemble singing and the ability to follow musical scores.
