Premier's Debating Challenge for Years 5 and 6 – Riverina Primary Debating workshops – RSVP deadline

These workshops are designed to coach and provide practise in debating skills, including rebuttal, arguments, definitions, and speakers' roles. The workshops also feature games and activities, giving each student a chance to deliver a short speech with feedback. Around 3,500 students from nearly 500 schools across NSW participated in the previous year, and even more are expected this year.

Time: 9:30 am to 2:45 pm (arrival by 9:15 am recommended)

- Tue 25 Feb – Deniliquin North Public School
- Wed 26 Feb – Albury Public School
- Thu 27 Feb – Junee North Public School
- Fri 28 Feb – Sturt Public School
Workshop details
Participants: Open to teachers and a maximum of 8 students per school, with the possibility to bring additional students upon request.
Cost: $25.00 per student, debited after the event.
Requirements for students: Bring morning tea and lunch, a clipboard, and note-taking materials. Palm cards and a light morning tea and lunch will be provided for adults.
Registration: Complete the registration form or email with school details, contact teacher’s name, preferred and alternate venues, and the number of participants.
