Premier's Debating Challenge for Years 5 and 6 – Hunter and Central Coast Primary Debating workshops – Central Coast RSVP deadline

These workshops are designed to coach and provide practise in debating skills, including rebuttal, arguments, definitions, and speakers' roles. The workshops also feature games and activities, giving each student a chance to deliver a short speech with feedback. Around 3,500 students from nearly 500 schools across NSW participated in the previous year, and even more are expected this year.
Workshop venues and dates
Time: 9:30 am to 2:45 pm (arrival by 9:15 am recommended)
- Tue 25 Mar – Central Coast (venue TBC)
- Wed 26 Mar – Berkeley Vale Public School
- Thu 27 Mar – Budgewoi Public School
Workshop details
Participants: Open to teachers and a maximum of 8 students per school, with the possibility to bring additional students upon request.
Cost: $25.00 per student, debited after the event.
Requirements for students: Bring morning tea and lunch, a clipboard, and note-taking materials. Palm cards and a light morning tea and lunch will be provided for adults.
Registration: Complete the registration form or email with school details, contact teacher’s name, preferred and alternate venues, and the number of participants.
