On July 3rd, 1949, Yanni and Sofronia arrived in Australia by boat from Cyprus. On October 18th, 1997, I arrived at Athens airport to explore the heritage that my family and my grandparents left me. The polaroid emulsion lifts provided the metaphor for fragility and preciousness of family and memories. This final series of images has given me a sense of belonging to our culture.
