  • Matinee: Wallis Entertainment Mildura at 11 am.
  • Evening: Wallis Entertainment Mildura. Red carpet 5:30 pm and screening at 6 pm.
  • Evening: Silver City Cinema, Broken Hill. Red carpet 5:30 pm and screening at 6 pm.

Launching in 2026, Film By the Dust shines a spotlight on the unique filmmaking talent of Far West NSW, the heart of the Great Australian Outback. With its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and inspiring community spirit, the region offers an ideal setting for creative storytelling.

By linking filmmaking with school education, Film By the Dust empowers students across Far West NSW to explore their perspectives, tell their stories, and build confidence through the art of cinema. The festival gives public school students opportunities to learn, create, and share their stories, celebrating the voices and creativity of the region.
