Registration process

In order to participate in the PRC as a home school student, you will need to register your details.

The PRC team will then provide the account details for your students.

• New home schools who have not participated previously: Please complete all details on the form below 
• Existing home schools with new students: please select 'existing home school' and enter details of new students only
• Existing home schools with students who are already registered; please continue to use your PRC username and password, and contact the PRC team if you need any assistance.

If your child is currently enrolled in a NSW school that does not have a PRC coordinator, please do not fill out this Home school registration form. Refer to the Independent student registration form for information about how they can participate in the challenge. 

About the PRC

The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely. The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is open to all NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 10, in government, independent, Catholic and home schools.

2023 Challenge dates

• Opening date for student entries – Monday 27 February 2023
• Closing date for student entries – Friday 18 August 2023
• Closing date for coordinator validations – Friday 1 September 2023
