Art Smart
Art Smart is an intensive 3-day artmaking workshop for Year 9 and Year 10 public school students who demonstrate high potential and gifted in the creative domain of visual arts. Students are tutored by experienced art practitioners in a studio environment offering them the opportunity to gain new skills to extend their artmaking practice across a range of mediums and techniques.
Our 2026 program will explore painting, drawing, cyanotype, printmaking and sculpture.
Nominations
Nominations for the 2026 Art Smart program will open in Term 3, 2026.
Schools are able to nominate up to 4 students to participate in the program and are asked to complete the Art Smart nomination form.
2026 program
Workshops
Art Smart workshops will be held on the following dates at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
- Monday 26 October 2026 (Term 4 Week 3)
- Tuesday 27 October 2026 (Term 4 Week 3)
- Wednesday 28 October 2026 (Term 4 Week 3)
Time: 9 am to 3 pm (Monday and Tuesday) and 9 am to 4 pm (Wednesday)
Exhibition
The Exhibition of student work will be held on Wednesday 28 October 2026 (Term 4 Week 3) at Campbelltown Arts Centre from 3 to 4 pm.
The presentation of student certificates will occur at 3:30 pm.
Program cost
$185.00 per student.
- Should the Art Smart program be cancelled prior to the advertised dates and no alternative offered, a full refund will be provided.
- In the event of a COVID-19 related withdrawal from the program on the day of the workshop, the participant will be refunded 50% of the participation fee paid.
Requirements
Students are required to bring a visual art diary, pencil, lunch and refreshments to the workshop days.
