Bandlink Riverina
Led by professional tutors and experienced conductors, Bandlink Riverina involves a 2 or 3 day workshop consisting of large concert band and smaller tutorial sessions, bringing specialised skills to country NSW students from public schools.
Bandlink caters for concert band instrumentalists (along with bass guitarists who read notation) of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Interested public school students from Years 3 to 12 are eligible to apply.
2025 workshops
There are two different Riverina workshops available in 2025. Workshops run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (sign on from 8:30 am). Please choose the location and date that best suits you or your school.
- Griffith: Monday 31 March, Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 April 2025 (Term 1 Week 10) Griffith East Public School
- Young: Thursday 3 and Friday 4 April 2025 (Term 1 Week 10) Young High School
Payment
- $80 per student
- Each student must make their payment to their school labelled Bandlink Riverina workshop 2025.
- Each school will then be journaled through SAP for the payments after the event.
Applications
Schools: Teachers are invited to register their schools by completing the school registration form.
Individual students: Individual students who are not attending as part of a school excursion group are invited to register via the individual student registration form.
Application closing date: Wednesday 19 March 2025 (Term 1 Week 8)
What to bring
- Musical instrument
- Pencil
- Instrument care kit, spare reeds, strings, valve oil, and so on, if appropriate to your instrument
- Water bottle
- Morning tea and lunch. Access may be available at the school canteen.
Please make sure that your belongings are clearly labelled with your name and that your instrument is in full working order.
