CHORDS
CHORDS (Choral and Dance Spectacular) is a biennial event featuring local public school students in Year 3 to Year 6 in the Wagga Wagga area.
Through a series of 4 performances featuring core choir, combined choir and a variety of music and dance performances, local students gain invaluable experience on stage.

CHORDS will take place in Term 4 Week 3 at the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre.
Applications
All primary schools in the Wagga Wagga area are invited to participate in CHORDS. There is an opportunity to be involved in the massed choir or to nominate for one of the school dance items (songs will be allocated).
CHORDS is also seeking talented vocalists and dancers to be a part of the core choir and choir dance ensembles. Students will be nominated by their schools and will undergo an audition process.
All information will be sent to schools directly in Term 4 of the year prior to the performance.
Teacher workshop and rehearsals
A teacher workshop will be held in Term 1. Here, choir teachers, will get a thorough and fun ‘walk-through’ of the repertoire of songs to be performed in CHORDS 2024. Hints, tips, ideas, experiences, and expectations will be shared to ease the uncertainty of leading a choir. This is an excellent opportunity to upskill in leading future choirs throughout your career!
Rehearsals will then be held independently at each participating school and directed by the teacher.
All schools will join for 3 cluster rehearsals, one in Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3.
Schools will engage in a technical run on the day of their performance in Term 4.
