Dance workshops – South Western Sydney
Dance workshops – South Western Sydney is a one day workshop for Year 3 to Year 12 NSW public school students with a passion and interest in dance. It provides an opportunity for students to collaborate, connect and participate in a variety of dance workshops led by industry professional dancers, choreographers and teachers.
The workshop will provide a challenging and stimulating dance education program enabling students to experience a diverse range of dance styles and develop their dance technique, creativity and performance quality in a fun and engaging environment.
All sessions are tailored to meet the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including those with different skill levels and prior dance experience. Students will be encouraged to work within their own capabilities and to experience dance in a positive and inclusive environment.

Primary dance workshop
Nominations are now open for our primary dance workshop!
This workshop is for students in Years 3 to 6 and will explore a range of dance styles such as cultural, jazz and musical theatre.
Schools are able to nominate up to 8 students, with teachers attending the day with their students as professional development in dance.
Should your school have only one or two students interested in attending the workshops, please contact the program coordinator to discuss attending options and duty of care requirements.
Schools are asked to complete the primary dance workshop nomination form by Thursday 20 March 2025

Cost
$25.00 per student
Should the workshop be cancelled prior to the advertised workshop date and no alternative offered, a full refund will be provided. In the event of a COVID-19 related withdrawal from the program on the day of the workshop, the participant will be refunded 50% of the participation fee paid.
Requirements
Students are to wear comfortable clothes to dance in or their school sports uniform and bring their morning tea, lunch and water.
Secondary dance workshop
Nominations are now open for our secondary dance workshop!
This workshop is for students in Years 7 to 12 and will explore story through dance with a focus on contemporary skills and composition.
Schools are able to nominate up to 5 students. Teachers are welcome to attend the day with their students as professional development, however this is not a requirement. The program coordinator will be responsible for the duty of care of attending students.
Schools are asked to complete the secondary dance workshop nomination form by Thursday 20 March 2025.
