Welcome to Film By Connection to Place, the newest addition to the Film By festivals family! This special initiative is in collaboration with Kimberwalli Centre for Excellence and the NSW AECG. This festival is dedicated to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to share their stories and experiences through the powerful medium of film. It offers a unique opportunity for young Indigenous storytellers to explore their voice, identity, and deep connection to culture and community.

Through hands-on workshops and collaborative teamwork, students will embark on a creative journey to bring their personal and community stories to life on screen. This program encourages participants to celebrate their heritage, express their perspectives, and inspire audiences with authentic stories that reflect the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
