Years 3 to 12 students and teachers
Local arts program Dance

Riverina Dance Workshops are open to teachers (Kindergarten to Year 12) and Year 3 to Year 12 public school students with an interest in dance.

This one-day workshop provides a challenging and stimulating dance program delivered by specialist tutors.

  • Student workshops focus on developing technical ability and performance skills, as well as exploring composition for class, assemblies and festival performances.
  • Teacher workshops examine approaches to composition and creating movement for performance. They will also be useful support in preparation for the Riverina Dance Festival auditions and performances.

Further information will be available in Term 1 2025.

Participation

Schools have the option to participate in the workshop in 3 ways:

  • Option 1: One teacher per school plus a maximum of 4 students. Each teacher has duty of care for their students throughout the workshops.
  • Option 2:  Individual students may attend without a teacher. Maximum 2 students per school. Duty of care will be provided by the workshop coordinators.
  • Option 3: Teachers (including teachers whose students cannot attend) may attend as teacher professional development
