Western NSW Rock Camp
Western NSW Rock Camp is a residential camp for Years 6 to 12 public school students from rural NSW with an interest in the rock genre. The camp provides the opportunity for students to learn and perform with other like-minded peers as they work with teachers and professional musicians on techniques and skills to enhance their musical and vocal ability.
Students will participate in smaller rock ensembles or instrument groups, learning a variety of subgenres, including classic rock, hard rock, punk rock, alternative rock, metal and more. Instruments to nominate for are vocals, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, acoustic guitar, trumpet, trombone and saxophone.
The week culminates in a showcase performance in front of an audience.
