About ARTEXPRESS

ARTEXPRESS is a showcase of Higher School Certificate Bodies of Work, presented as a high quality teaching and learning resource. The annual series of ARTEXPRESS exhibitions represent best practice in visual arts education, and celebrate student achievement across the state.

The exhibitions aim to reflect Higher School Certificate Visual Arts candidature:

• Government/non government schools
• regional representation
• expressive form

Exhibitions are selected by gallery curators in association with the ARTEXPRESS Project Officer. Artworks are nominated by Higher School Certificate markers and are deemed excellent examples of the body of work, suitable for exhibition.

ARTEXPRESS is a joint initiative between the NSW Department of Education and the NSW Education Standards Authority.
