Deed of consent
For your students to be eligible to participate in the 2023 Schools Spectacular, each student must complete and return their Deed of consent to the contact teacher.
Please download and distribute the Deed of consent to all participating students.
School and contact teachers are responsible for keeping the signed forms. Teachers will be contacted at the end of Term 3 to confirm all students have returned their signed Deed of consent. You do not need to supply a copy of the forms to the Schools Spectacular team.
Teachers' briefing video
All teachers will need to watch the Teacher Information video, which will be available on The Arts Unit website during Term 3 Week 5. Please schedule a time to watch the short video between Monday 14 and Friday 18 August 2023. This video contains important information regarding the operation of the production and the vision for the show.
Risk assessments
Below you will find a link to our current risk management plans for rehearsal venues. These are to be used to supplement the NSW Department of Education’s excursion planning and management policy and your school’s excursion procedure. You will still need to develop your own plan that includes travel and accommodation where appropriate.
Communication
All information will be communicated to you via email. Please check your email regularly throughout the next few months. If your school contact teacher changes, please notify Courtney immediately at courtney.cassar1@det.nsw.edu.au
Media
The department has a global media strategy for the Schools Spectacular as it is a high profile event for the department so please do not approach any media yourself nor respond to any approaches made to you directly.
