INDIANNA: I feel like it's kind of a common teenage experience, to be dealing with romance and the struggle of now, new technologies that's kind of just get in the way. And it's much easier to talk to a guy over the phone than in person. So that struggle of having a relationship now, in person, when the phone just kind of gets in the way.

LILY: I was also going through that exact thing. Like right before we filmed, I was talking to a guy, but we wouldn't talk in person. So using the personal experience in the film as well was helpful for the acting.

DAVID TODD: The text on the screen is obviously a really key feature of the film. Was that written by you? How did that all come about?

INDIANNA: I feel like it was kind of just based off my own messages with people. And I felt like it kind of just became a bit of a challenge to be like, how long or how much is too much messaging on a screen? Because as an audience member, it can take you out of it in a way, that you're like, oh, I'm just reading constantly, just stuff on the screen, instead of-- kind of like show not tell sort of situation. So it was kind of just minimising the texting, but showing the raw emotion that the actors have. And my beautiful actress here, she did such a brilliant job with her raw emotion, which was amazing.

LILY: I think we just thought of the key visual moments and just worked the storyline around those key moments.

INDIANNA: Each year I've tried a different genre and gotten out of my comfort zone. So really, just have a go. It's so much fun. And it's just such a special, fun atmosphere.

And everyone just builds each other up. So it's really inspiring. So I'd definitely just have a go.
