AMINA: Hey, guys. Check out those chickens over there.
ELENA: Oh, they look adorable.
LANYA: Yeah, but I heard they can be a bit mischievous.
AMINA: Mischievous chickens? You've got to be kidding.
ELENA: Yeah, but I heard stories of them chasing students around.
[chatter]
LANYA: The school chickens approach. As the students watch the chickens from a distance, the curious cluckers suddenly notice the group.
AMINA: Uh-oh. I think they've spotted us.
ELENA: Maybe they just want to join our lunch club.
LANYA: I hope they're friendly. The chicken chase begins, but 'friendly' was the last thing on the chickens' minds.
ELENA: Buk-buk. Buk-buk.
AMINA: OK, OK, everyone. Let's just slowly back away.
ELENA: Good idea. Nobody make any sudden moves.
[chatter]
[chickens clucking]
LANYA: But the chickens were not backing down. Instead, they'd pick up speed, chasing the students around the schoolyard.
ELENA: Argh!
[laughter]
Run! Run! The chickens are here!
Go!
[laughter]
[chatter]
I never knew the chickens could be so determined. [sighs]
LANYA: The students hide out.
AMINA: OK, OK, I think I lost them.
ELENA: Who would have thought chickens could be so feisty? Miss Bassett arrives.
MISS BASSETT: What's going on here, students?
LANYA: Ah, the chickens, Miss Bassett. They started chasing us.
MISS BASSETT: Ah, yes. The school chickens can be a bit playful sometimes. They won't hurt you.
AMINA: I think they just wanted to have some fun with us.
ELENA: Look, they stopped.
LANYA: Maybe you just need to make friends with them.
ELENA: The students and the chickens bond.
LANYA: So the students approach the chickens and offered them some crumbs from their lunch.
[chickens clucking]
CAMERA OP: Go in to him.
LANYA: Let me in.
CAMERA OP: You're leading them out, Lanya.
[chickens clucking]
ELENA: Here you go. OK.
[chickens clucking]
I guess they weren't that bad after all.
AMINA: I think we just needed to show him some kindness.
LANYA: From the day on, the students and the school chickens became unexpected friends. They often shared lunchtime adventures, running around and playing together.
ELENA: We shall call ourselves the Chicken Chasers Club. The students and chickens continued their fun.
LANYA: And so, with newfound chicken companions, the students continued to have the most exciting lunch breaks filled with laughter, adventure and delightful feathered friends.
