Film By the Sea stands as the flagship among all Film By festivals, boasting an impressive legacy. In 2023, this tradition continued, with Film By The Sea expanding its horizons to offer an even more enriching experience for students from Kindergarten to Year 11. As we eagerly anticipate 2026, expect even greater creativity and an abundance of captivating stories waiting to unfold.
Film By the Sea 2025
On Monday, 27 October 2025, the red carpet was rolled out at Event Cinemas Miranda for the much-anticipated Film By the Sea festival. This beloved event once again shone a spotlight on the incredible creativity and talent of students from across the Sutherland Shire.
Guests and filmmakers arrived dressed to the nines and ready for an evening filled with glitz, glamour, and storytelling magic. The audience was treated to an inspiring line-up of short films, documentaries, and animations—all created by budding young filmmakers.
Each film brought its own unique flair to the big screen, showcasing the imagination, teamwork, and passion of students and their dedicated teachers.
Film By the Sea continues to be a standout celebration of student filmmaking, allowing young storytellers to share their voices and creativity with the community. Here’s to another unforgettable year at Film By the Sea 2025!
