Learning intentions

Storytelling through dance is a resource developed for Stage 2 and 3 students.

Students will learn about how visual images can inspire dance and using expressive qualities to communicate these ideas. Students will also have the opportunity to reflect on their own work.

Your students will:

  • explore and develop movement combinations in relation to an idea
  • create a movement narrative by looking at visual images
  • perform and communicate intent using a range of expressive qualities
  • reflect on the process of making dance.
