Boys Hip Hop Program

This free workshop is designed specifically for male students, Years 2-12, with an interest in the street dance style of hip hop. It is open to all NSW public school students. This highly motivational program fosters the development of dance skills for both the experienced and inexperienced dancer. The boys will mentored by male tutors and encouraged to reach their potential in a practical, high energy environment with like-minded peers. There will be a focus on wellbeing and engagement through the arts. The program is a pathway to becoming involved in a boys hip hop ensemble that may be showcased at the Schools Spectacular. Application process

Students attending workshops with a teacher

  1. Up to 30 students per school can attend the workshop as a group.
  2. Complete this online application form, including all your students' details and contact teacher information.
  3. Complete and upload the   Boys Hip Hop Program - permission to publish form (DOCX, 39.86 KB)

Unaccompanied student/s attending the workshop

  1. A maximum of 2 students can attend the workshops unaccompanied.
  2. Email a request for the unaccompanied student/s to attend for approval to the Program Coordinator – Ashley Napoleoni
  3. Complete this online application form, including the unaccompanied students' details and contact teacher information.
  4. Student must complete the  Boys Hip Hop Program - permission to publish form (DOCX, 39.86 KB)
  5. Student must complete the  Boys Hip Hop Program - unaccompanied student medical form (DOCX, 19.82 KB)

Please note - all unaccompanied student paperwork must be completed and returned prior to the start of the program.

If you do not have all of these returned when completing the application, you will need to email all permission to publish forms to dance.artsunit@det.nsw.edu.au in order to participate.

Please note - a maximum of 2 students per school are permitted to attend without a teacher however, you will be required to obtain approval from the program coordinator prior to submitting your application for any unaccompanied students. The student and parent/caregiver has read and understood Student Behaviour Code. They understand that there will be consequences if the student does not behave appropriately. In these cases, action will be taken at The Arts Unit and/or the student's school and may include withdrawal from this and future activities.
