Teachers will engage in professional learning that aims to:

  • expand knowledge and skills in teaching visual arts through access to unique resources developed by The Art Gallery of NSW and The  Department of Educations' Arts Unit for this program.

Feedback from participating teachers in the program

"The programs offered by Home provides all our students the opportunity learn about Aboriginal artists and their story. The pride our students felt and voiced as they connected with these artists was transferred to their own self confidence and identity. They were so proud to be Aboriginal and share their culture with the whole school community."

"The programs provided in the program are exceptional in exposing teachers to art and artists that they probably wouldn't have looked at with their classes. It offers great lesson ideas and the videos and source material are terrific."

After discussions with your principal, please briefly explain why your school would like to participate in this program? Include information about your school’s connection to the local AECG and or local Aboriginal Community?
