The Millennium Marching Band is a dynamic group with a focus on fun and entertainment. Opportunities exist within the band for instrumentalists, dancers, and rhythmic gymnasts. There is a place for everyone with energy, commitment and a willingness to learn.

The Boys Vocal Program is a 3-day music program for male students in Years 5 to 12. The program takes place at Trackdown Studios in Sydney and throughout the program students learn a song as an ensemble and record the final product in a recording studio.

In 2025, the Boys Vocal Program featured a student composition ‘Not a Man Yet’ written by Robbi Morgan, Year 10 student from Asquith Boys High School and Ben Gillard, Year 11 student from Kooringal High School. We are now looking for another song written by a NSW public school student to be featured in the 2026 Boys Vocal Program. If you have written an original song with musical accompaniment (such as guitar or piano) and would like your song to be the focus of the 2026 Boys Vocal Program, please fill in the below form and link a copy of your song for consideration. Please keep in mind that this can be a work in progress and you will have the opportunity to workshop the song with a composer to refine it for inclusion in the program.

The Arts Unit would like to invite students in Years 7 to 12 identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to join the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Advisory Group. The student led group assists in advising the Arts Unit on events, policies, and programs, with a view to ensuring the safety and inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in the design and implementation process.

We would like to hear from all students across the state to join the student advisory group in 2026.

Please complete the webform below to register to attend any of the listed workshops. Each workshop will cover the repertoire for the corresponding festival, as well as strategies to engage and develop primary school choirs and instrumental ensembles.

Please note: if you have already registered to attend a workshop when you accepted your school's place in the corresponding festival, you do not need to register again using this form.

The NSW Department of Education will present one concert at the Sydney Opera House. School choirs made up of students from Stages 4 to 6 will form part of a combined choir of 750 voices for this concert. All choirs and music classes from public high schools are welcome to join.
