Music festivals – individual instrumental and vocal items application form 2024

Applications will close on Friday 10 May 2024.

Successful applicants will be allocated to one concert and need to be available for a sound check and staging rehearsal on the day of the concert.

2024 performance opportunities

These opportunities are open to all public school students (Years K to 12) and can include music ensembles of all sizes, large or small (including soloists) and may be instrumental or vocal. All items should avoid pre-recorded musical components such as the use of backing tracks.

  • Acacia concert: Monday 24 June 2024, 7 pm 
  • Banksia concert: Tuesday 25 June 2024, 7 pm 
  • Jacaranda concert: Wednesday 26 June 2024, 7 pm
  • Mimosa concert: Thursday 27 June 2024, 7 pm

Festival of Choral Music - 2024 concert dates at the Sydney Opera House

  • Argyle concert: Monday 12 August 2024, 6:30 pm
  • Australis concert: Tuesday 13 August 2024, 6:30 pm 
  • Barangaroo concert: Wednesday 14 August 2024, 6:30 pm
  • Bennelong concert: Thursday 15 August 2024, 6:30 pm
  • Endeavour concert: Friday 16 August 2024, 6:30 pm​​​​​​

    • Brindabella concert: Monday 23 September 2024, 7:00 pm

    Performance details

    Please select all concerts for which you are available. If successful you will be allocated one performance date only. The item soundcheck/rehearsal will take place on the day of the performance.
