State Dance Festival – Production team nomination form 2024

Welcome to the production team nomination form for the 2024 NSW Public Schools State Dance Festival.

Applications close Friday 2 August 2024.

  • State Dance Festival will take place Monday 16 to Friday 20 September 2024 (Term 3 Week 9) at the Seymour Centre in Chippendale.
  • The production team will comprise primary and secondary teachers.
  • The Arts Unit, where it is deemed necessary, will meet transport, accommodation costs and relief days.

Requirements

  • Successful applicants will be on duty at the Seymour Centre every day from 8:30 am–10:30 pm (approx).
  • Technical rehearsals run every day.
  • Performances are every evening at 7:00 pm and Friday matinee 12:00 pm.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who can be involved for the entire run of the State Dance Festival.
  • Stage management experience is preferred but not necessary.

    Please ensure your email is correct, as this is our main source of communication. If you do not receive a confirmation email once you have submitted this form, please contact the Dance Team as soon as possible.
    You must have a valid Working With Children Check number.
    Please include a brief description of your experiences in backstage productions as a dance teacher in a school and/or regional/state level. It is important that you express your experiences clearly and explain how you can contribute to the team.
    If you are successful in obtaining a place on the prodcution team, please list your dietary requirements for catering; for example vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc. If none, type N/A.
    T-Shirt size
    If you are successful in your application, you will be given a State Dance Festival unisex t-shirt.
    If you successful in gaining a position on the production team, we will pay your school relief for your days. If you not at a school we will pay you directly a daily rate. Please list the days you work at school or whether you are on casual/maternity leave.
