Art Smart
Art Smart is an intensive 4-day artmaking workshop for Year 9 and Year 10 public school students who demonstrate high potential and gifted in the creative domain of visual arts. Students are tutored by experienced art practitioners in a studio environment offering them the opportunity to gain new skills to extend their artmaking practice across a range of mediums and techniques.
Our 2024 program will explore painting, drawing, cyanotype, printmaking and sculpture.

Nominations
Schools are able to nominate up to 5 students to participate in the program.
2024 program
Excursion
Students will attend the Australian Museum as an excursion on day one of the program as inspiration for the workshop sessions the following week. Students are responsible for travel to and from the excursion and workshop venues.

Workshops
Art Smart workshops will be held on the following dates at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
- Monday 28 October 2024 (Term 4 Week 3)
- Tuesday 29 October 2024 (Term 4 Week 3)
- Wednesday 30 October 2024 (Term 4 Week 3)
Time: 9 am – 3 pm
Exhibition
The Exhibition of student work will be held on Wednesday 30 October 2024 (Term 4 Week 3) at Campbelltown Arts Centre from 5 pm – 7 pm.
Program cost
$175.00 per student.
- Should the Art Smart program be cancelled prior to the advertised dates and no alternative offered, a full refund will be provided.
- In the event of a COVID-19 related withdrawal from the program on the day of the workshop, the participant will be refunded 50% of the participation fee paid.
Requirements
Students are required to bring a visual art diary, pencil, lunch and refreshments to the excursion and workshop days.
