In the Spotlight Drama Festival
In the Spotlight Drama Festival showcases the skills and talents of NSW public school students and teachers in creating and performing drama for students from Preschool to Year 12.
The festival is not only a showcase of school drama works but also a valuable platform for encouraging drama in schools. The festival demands of students a higher degree of focus, commitment and performance.
2024 dates
In the Spotlight Drama Festival will take place on Monday 5 August 2024 (Term 3 Week 3) at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
Performance times
- Evening performance 1: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Evening performance 2: 7:45 pm – 8:45 pm

Teachers are encouraged to download and read the festival guidelines (PDF, 102KB) for details on how to apply before completing their submission.
Cost
- $200.00 including GST per item.
Refund policy
- By participating in In the Spotlight Drama Festival, the participating school understands that the festival may be required to change delivery methods event dates or be cancelled at short notice to accommodate current COVID-19 advice and the safety and wellbeing of all participating schools and staff.
- Should the festival be cancelled and no alternative offered, a full refund will be provided.
- In the event of a COVID-19 related withdrawal prior to Friday 5 July 2024 (Term 2 Week 10) a full refund will be offered the school. For withdrawals made after Friday 5 July 2024 (Term 2 Week 10), no refund will be offered.
T-shirts
Students and staff participating in the festival have the option to purchase festival t-shirts. Please refer to the t-shirt size guide to view the design and ensure you order the correct size.
Prices are as follows:
- Long-sleeved t-shirt: $28.00 (including GST)
Please note, there will be no refunds on t-shirt orders once the order has been placed with the company.
Schools are to complete the In the Spotlight Drama Festival t-shirt order form by Tuesday 25 June 2024.
Tickets
Audience tickets will go on sale at 9 am Tuesday 23 July 2024 (Term 3 Week 1) and will be available to purchase via Trybooking.
Ticket prices evening
- Child (2 – 17 years or K–12): $12.00
- Pensioner/concession or student: $18.00
- Adult: $22.00
Ticket prices include GST. Booking and transaction fees may apply.
