The Blue Mountains/Nepean Dance Festival has been promoting dance in our schools and providing opportunities for children to perform at a professional local venue for over 30 years.

The festival is an inclusive annual event open to primary and secondary public schools in the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury/Nepean areas. 

The festival has around 50 schools and approximately 3000 students (Years K to 12) participating each year.

2025 festival dates

  • Rehearsals: Monday 25 to Friday 29 August 2025 (Term 3 Week 6)
  • Performances:  Monday 1 to Friday 5 September 2025 (Term 3 Week 7)
