The Blue Mountains/Nepean Dance Festival has been promoting dance in our schools and providing opportunities for children to perform at a professional local venue for over 30 years.

The festival is an inclusive annual event open to primary and secondary public schools in the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury/Nepean areas. 

The festival has around 50 schools and approximately 3000 students (Years K to 12) participating each year.

2024 dates

  • Rehearsals:  Monday 26 August to Friday 30 August 2024 (Term 3 Week 6)
  • Performances:  Monday 2 September to Friday 6 September 2024 (Term 3 Week 7)

How to apply

Applications to audition for the Festival are now open. Applications close Monday 8 April 2024 (Term 1 Week 11).
