Sydney North Public Schools Band Program

The Sydney North Public Schools Band Program are weekly ensembles for talented musicians from public schools in Year 4 to Year 12.  The program consists of 3 bands:

  • SNPS Concert Band (music level - grade 2 and above)
  • SNPS Symphonic Band (music level - grade 3.5 and above)
  • SNPS Jazz Ensemble

Both the Concert Band and Symphonic Band are conducted by Lemin Luu and the Jazz Ensemble is directed by Tim Collins.

Membership is considered an extension of student participation in school band programs. It is an expectation of membership that students remain a committed member of any music ensemble programs currently operating at their school whilst they are participating in the program. Students act as representatives of their school in this regional extension program. 

The bands offer musical extension to talented musicians who want to meet other like-minded students and play music to the highest quality.
