The Riverina Dance Festival celebrates the achievements and dance education programs of public schools across the Riverina. The festival features students from Kindergarten to Year 12 providing an opportunity for students of all ages, dance backgrounds and abilities to showcase their creativity and performance skills in a professional venue.

The festival is held annually in rotating regional theatres in Albury, Griffith and Wagga Wagga to enable equity of access to all students across the Riverina.

Cost: Participation is free. Schools are responsible for supplying any relief, travel, meals and accommodation.

Notice of acceptance

Nominating schools will be advised of audition outcomes with the acceptance package by Friday 28 April 2023 (Term 2 Week 1).

Riverina dance teacher workshop

A virtual Riverina dance teacher workshop will be held online for interested teachers on Friday 17 February 2023 (Term 1 Week 4).

This workshop will examine approaches to composition and creating movement for performance. The workshop provides useful support to teachers in preparation for the Riverina Dance Festival audition and performances and an opportunity to collaborate with other dance teachers from across the Riverina.

Interested teachers should speak to their principal regarding the benefits of involvement and aligning it to their PDP.

There is no charge for this workshop. Schools are responsible for the staff relief costs associated with teacher participation in this workshop.

Interested teachers, please complete the Riverina Dance Teacher Workshop attendance form by Monday 13 February 2023 (Term 1 Week 4).
