Senior Dance Workshop – South Coast
The Senior Dance Workshop – South Coast is open to public school students in Years 11 and 12 studying dance for their HSC.
The workshop aims to provide students and teachers with the opportunity to explore and clarify the practical and written areas of the HSC examination with experienced HSC markers and experienced dance teachers.
This opportunity will support students in preparing performance, composition and written responses for their HSC.
It also allows teachers to network and enjoy professional dialogue with colleagues.
2024 dates
The 2024 Senior Dance Workshop was held at Ulladulla High School on Wednesday 20 March 2024. Students engaged in a range of activities to support their learning of HSC dance in a collaborative and practical day of dance.
Applications
Applications for the 2025 Senior Dance Workshop will open in Term 1 Week 2 2025.
Students must attend with a supervising teacher from their school. If this is not possible, please get in touch with Sue Dawson to discuss available options.
Venue
Ulladulla High School – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Attendance requirements
This will be a practical workshop in all Dance Stage 6 Syllabus areas. Please wear suitable clothing.
Student permission form
Teachers are asked to collect signed Student permission and publicity consent forms from each participating student and keep files on file at the school
Attendance
Attending events such as the workshop in person is the best option for students and staff to collaborate with other schools. However, we can deliver this study day as a hybrid model so schools can attend virtually via Zoom for those schools where distance hinders participation.
The teacher session will not be available via Zoom.
Cost
- $10 per student – for schools attending in person
- $5 per student – for schools attending virtually
A journal transfer will be completed following confirmation of numbers and attendance on the day.
