Snowy Monaro Performing Arts Festival
Following the incredible success of the 2025 Snowy Monaro Performing Arts Festival, we congratulate all the schools, students, and teachers who brought such talent, creativity, and energy to the stage.
Now we turn our attention to 2026.
The Snowy Monaro Performing Arts Festival returns – bigger, brighter, and bursting with energy. This annual celebration brings together public school students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across the Snowy Monaro and beyond, showcasing the creativity, dedication, and passion of our young performers.
Through dance, drama and music, students will share stories, express ideas, and celebrate the joy of performing. For performers, it’s an opportunity to step onto the stage and share their hard work. For schools and communities, it’s a reminder of the powerful role the arts play in bringing people together.

How to apply
Applications for the Snowy Monaro Performing Arts Festival 2026 are now closed.
Festival dates: Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 June (Term 2 Week 7)
All schools that apply are accepted into the festival.

Item information
- Each school may nominate a maximum of 4 items for the festival. We will make every effort to include all nominated items.
- Schools may explore any artform including dance, drama, school choir, bands and recorder ensemble.
- We encourage the inclusion of students with a disability and are committed to working with schools to accommodate any required modifications or special provisions.
Length of items
- Primary: maximum of 4 minutes
- Secondary: maximum of 5 minutes.
