Senior Music Workshop - Goulburn and Cooma
The Senior Music Workshop is a full-day workshop for Year 11 and 12 music students from NSW public schools and their teachers to develop and enhance their knowledge of HSC music examination requirements.
Led by experienced HSC markers and teachers, participants develop their understanding of the concepts of music and explore music as an art form through performance, musicology, composition and aural activities.
In 2024 workshops will be held in:
- Goulburn - Thursday 23 May (Term 2 Week 4)
- Cooma - Friday 24 May (Term 2 Week 4)

Applications
Applications are now open for schools to participate in the Senior Music Workshops. Please complete the Schools Application Form by Friday 12 April 2024 (Term 1 Week 11).
Students must attend with a supervising teacher from their school. If this is not possible, please get in touch with Sue Dawson to discuss available options.
Schools have the option of the following 2 workshops:

Date: Thursday 23 May 2024 (Term 2 Week 4)
Time: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Venue: Mulwaree High School
Cost: $10 per student
Senior Music Workshop - Cooma
Date: Friday 24 May 2024 (Term 2 Week 4)
Time: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Venue: Monaro High School
Cost: $10 per student
Student permission form
Teachers are asked to collect signed Student Permission and Publicity Consent forms from each participating student and keep files on file at the school.
Attendance
Attending events such as the workshop in person is the best option for students and staff to collaborate with other schools. However, we can deliver this study day as a hybrid model so schools can attend virtually via Zoom for those schools where distance hinders participation.
The teacher session will not be available via Zoom.
Cost
- $10 per student – for schools attending in person
- $5 per student - for schools attending virtually
A journal transfer will be completed following confirmation of numbers and attendance on the day.
