INSTRUCTOR: This warm-up is one to help prepare the voice for singing. And it's just a nice gentle way to start warming up the voice. It's using a hum, and we're just going to hum on these notes.

[humming notes]

So those notes are (singing) do-re-do. So it goes like this. Listen.

Try it with me. And

ALL: [humming notes]

INSTRUCTOR: Good. And then we go to the next one. And;

ALL: [humming notes] And [humming notes]. And [humming notes].

INSTRUCTOR: This time we're going to change to an [humming note] instead of a [humming note]. So your lips will be open. Ready. And;

ALL: [humming notes] And [humming notes].

INSTRUCTOR: Bright faces.

ALL: [humming notes] And [humming notes].

INSTRUCTOR: (SINGING) Two more.

STUDENTS: [humming notes]

INSTRUCTOR: (SINGING) Last one.

STUDENTS: [humming notes]

INSTRUCTOR: Good.
