Professional practice day – with Gerwyn Davies, Associate Lecturer, School of Art & Design UNSW.

Join artist and Associate Lecturer Gerwyn Davies at the University of New South Wales Art & Design for a full day of visual arts professional development.

In 2023 Davies won both the Olive Cotton Award and the Clayton Utz Art Award. He has been a regular finalist in other significant national art prizes including the National Photographic Portrait Prize (2023), the Brisbane Portrait Prize (2024, 2019), The Bowness Photography Prize (2023, 2019, 2017) and the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Prize (2024, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014).

This professional practice day includes:

  • Campus tour and UNSW Art & Design course discussion
  • Gerwyn Davies Workshop – Portraiture, Performance, Abstraction – Cyanotypes and camera-less photography

In this workshop Gerwyn will focus on cyanotypes and camera-less photography as platforms for portraiture and abstraction.
