Born to be Brave celebrates the students of NSW Public Schools as they return to school and resume face-to-face learning. Filmed in 2021, connecting nearly 1,000 students from 33 schools, the item captures the joy and excitement of reuniting with your school community and inspirationally demonstrates camaraderie, resilience and hope. From Now On

Featuring 11 vocalists, 11 instrumentalists and 10 dancers, From Now On celebrates the Year 12 graduating class of 2021. These students relished the opportunity to reconnect with their peers and rejoice through their passion for music and dance. They were inspired to look forward, with great enthusiasm toward their future, demonstrating resilience and hope.

I Got Rhythm

With a solo vocalist and 17 students representing 13 different schools from Years 9-12 in the jazz orchestra, everyone gets a moment to shine in this jazz classic.

This video showcases some of the best jazz musicians from the NSW public school system, providing melody, harmony and pizazz – set inside and against the spectacular backdrop of Sydney’s Government House.

Learning to Fly

Set against the iconic background of Taronga Zoo and the Coffs Harbour jetty as well as numerous school halls and ovals, Learning to Fly features more than 300 students from 28 Secondary schools across NSW.

With a focus on rural and remote schools, students from Coffs Harbour Senior College were delighted to be featured on their home turf, along with 8 other schools from rural and remote areas, allowing them to connect, virtually, with their peers in Sydney.

Learning to Fly is not only visually spectacular but also carries a message about a growth mindset: that individual talent can be nurtured and developed through hard work, good work strategies and support.

Speechless

Filmed at Gubbuh Gubbuh, Middle Head and Leura, as well as numerous school halls and ovals throughout NSW, the Speechless choir features 460 primary and secondary school students across the state in an epic crescendo to the Spectacular Schools – Inspired series.

The message is clear: it doesn’t matter whether you sign or speak your message, the importance lies in developing the confidence and opportunities to deliver it.

Filmed entirely on Country by 16 local schools, Totems connects 172 students through contemporary Indigenous dance.
