ADA MARTIN: Hi, my name is Ada, and I'm in Year 6 at Marrickville West Primary School, and this is my monologue entitled 'A Girl with No Past?' Oh, no. I probably shouldn't have done that, but then again she did tell those villagers my whole backstory.

No one has the right to know that I have abandoned my horrible parents and living by myself in a small village. How many times do I have to tell Layne that I have moved on? I don't have a past and if not apologising for smashing two of her windows and her favourite bars means losing the bond I have with my cousin, well.

I should say sorry. It's just so lonely being a 14-year-old girl who's abandoned her parents and Layne's always feel like a mother to me. I'll write her an apology letter. Dear Layne, I am truly sorry that I smashed a few things in your possession, but I was really angry that you brought up my parents again.

Seriously, how many times am I going to have to change my name and identity? However, I will promise never to break anything of yours if you promise never to tell Stacy's-- my new name-- story to anyone. Do you still want to be friends? Send me your reply soon. Stacy. Perfect. I'm just going to get Beaky, my parrot, to deliver this. Beaky, can you deliver this to Layne? Good girl. Apologising isn't nearly as fun as smashing windows.
