[intro music]

STUDENT 1: What I like about film is getting together with all my friends and collaborating to create something we all love. But even more, I like it when it all goes wrong, and we spend ages trying to figure out how to fix it.

STUDENT 2: It's so important that I've been able to express my creative side now. It's something that I haven't always been able to do, but it's something that's meant a lot to me. And I love film. There's just so much about it. And I was just never really academically gifted. And being able to use film as an outlet has just been great.

STUDENT 3: Not everyone may be amazing in maths or write a perfect English essay, but those people might be the most amazing guitarist or can film a perfect shot. And it is so important that schools and teachers, they look for that in children. And if they just look, everyone has it, and it'll make all the difference.

STUDENT 4: I think film is very empowering in the way that it really brings children together and makes them work collaboratively and creatively. And seeing the brilliant ideas in a film is just amazing.

STUDENT 5: Yeah, I think film provides a great opportunity to sort of level the playing field among students. Where you have school subjects, like math and English and science, it's-- You're good at it or you're not. But with film, there's always something for everyone to thrive at-- to thrive in. And there's always an opportunity for every single student to enjoy themselves and to be good at something. And it just brings a sense of equity to the way that we function.
