How does it enhance our view?
Often film is about 2 people having a conversation. If the filmmaker wants to create more emotion in a scene, the camera will move closer to the face and eyes. The eyes, they say, are the window to the soul!
The camera can move to an object drawing the viewer to what we want them to see, or hide the object from view. The camera can move to a longer or wider shot revealing more information.
