The Combined Rural Schools Concert Band Camp (previously the Riverina Music Camp) is a 5 day intensive camp for concert band instrumentalists (including bass guitar) in Years 5 to 12 from NSW public schools.

This program builds instrumental and large ensemble skills under the direction of professional specialist practitioners and conductors. It gives students an opportunity to rehearse and perform in a complete ensemble, and engage in sectional tutorials, both of which build correct practice and performance skills

Monday 19 June to Friday 23 June 2023 (Term 2 Week 9)

Starting time 9:00 am

End of Camp showcase

Friday 23 June 2023 at a primary school in Wagga Wagga (time and location to be advised)

How to apply

Interested students from Year 5 to Year 12 from NSW public schools are now invited to complete the Combined Rural Schools Concert Band Camp online application form.

Applications close 5pm Monday 22 May 2023 (Term 2 Week 4)

Cost

$500 (includes all meals and accommodation plus camp expenses). Payments are to be made to the student’s school under the heading of Rural Combined Schools Concert Band Camp 2023.

Student information flyer

A student information flyer has been included for teachers to distribute to interested students.

Travel for Western region students

Depending on demand, buses to transport Western students to and from the camp may be available. Interest can be expressed in the application form.

Acceptance

An acceptance package will be sent containing further details after the closing date.
