Bandlink Riverina
Led by professional tutors and experienced conductors, Bandlink Riverina involves a 2-day workshop consisting of large concert band and smaller tutorial sessions, bringing specialised skills to country NSW students from public schools.
Bandlink caters for concert band instrumentalists (along with bass guitarists who read notation) of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Interested public school students from Years 3 to 12 are eligible to apply.
2024 dates and venues
There are two different Riverina workshops available in 2024. Please choose the location and date that best suits you/your school.
- Young: Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April 2024 (Term 1 Week 11) Young High School, Campbell Street Young NSW 2594
- Griffith: Thursday 11 and Friday 12 April 2024 (Term 1 Week 11) Griffith High School, 88 Coolah Street Griffith NSW
Time
9:00am – 3:30 pm (sign on from 8:30am)
Registrations
Schools: Teachers are invited to register their schools by completing the online Riverina Bandlink school registration form
Individual students: Individual students who are not attending as part of a school excursion group are invited to register via the online Riverina Bandlink individual student registration form
Application closing date: Monday 25 March 2024 (Term 1 Week 9)
Payment
- $80 per person
- Each student must make their payment to their school labelled Bandlink Riverina workshop 2024.
- We will then journal each of the schools for the payments.
- Please finalise all payments by Thursday 28 March 2024 (Term 1 Week 9).
What to bring
- Musical instrument
- Pencil
- Instrument care kit, spare reeds, strings, valve oil, and so on, if appropriate to your instrument
- Water bottle
- Morning tea and lunch. Access may be available at the school canteen.
Please make sure that your belongings are clearly labelled with your name and that your instrument is in full working order.
