State Drama Camp – Years 9 and 10

Local arts program Drama

The State Drama Camp – Years 9 and 10 is a 4-day residential camp open to NSW public school students in Years 9 and 10 and will run in conjunction with the NSW Public Schools State Drama Camp for Year 11 students.

This program is an excellent opportunity for Stage 5 drama students to work collaboratively in a supportive environment of like-minded peers and staff and learn from industry tutors and experienced teachers and practitioners.

Participants will refine and extend their skills through a series of intensive workshops covering all major aspects of drama delivered by tutors from the performing arts industry. Emphasis at the camp is on active and collaborative participation, development of skills and enjoyment.

Workshops during the camp are led by industry specialists and exemplary teachers from NSW public schools. Students will also work on creating group-devised performances, culminating in a student performance showcase on the final day.

The camp is fully catered with a healthy menu and accommodation in cabins and rooms.
