The Pulse Alive Dance Company is a seasonal ensemble for interested dancers in Years 5 to 12 from NSW public schools across Greater Sydney and beyond, designed to develop their skills above and beyond what may be available at their local school level.

Students are provided with the opportunity to perform in a high-quality ensemble at a regional and state level.  The ensemble is also aimed at catering for students who have limited access to dance ensembles at their school.

Students in the ensemble work with specialist choreographers and other like-minded students to rehearse and perform dance works for Pulse Alive, held at Ken Rosewall Arena in March, and the Synergy Dance Festival, held at the Evan Theatre, Penrith, in June.  The ensemble will also audition to perform at the State Dance Festival and the Schools Spectacular, and in 2024 will tour to participate as part of Southern Stars.

Participation in Pulse Alive in March of each year is a compulsory element of participation in the company. Participation in other opportunities throughout the year are provided as 'opt-in events' for the ensemble. Each separate event, including Pulse Alive, will attract its own participation fee to cover costume costs, staffing costs and associated event fees.
