A collection of student artworks from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and Port Stephens for exhibition at selected Department of Education local arts events in the Hunter.

Artworks will be selected for the collection in Term 1 of each year and then exhibited at selected local arts events throughout the year. Events where student artworks will be exhibited may include the Hunter Dance Festival, Hunter Drama Festival, Choralfest, Bandfest, Star Struck and the Hunter Ensembles Showcase.

The Hunter Schools Art Collection is a new initiative to celebrate and showcase artworks from public school students in Kindergarten to Year 12 across the Hunter.

Students and schools will be notified when each student artwork is being exhibited and be invited to attend.

2024

Nominations for student artworks to be exhibited at the 2024 Hunter Ensembles Showcase are now open.

Schools may nominate up to 5 student artworks to be selected for exhibition as part of the 2024 collection for exhibition at various events throughout the year.

We look forward to showcasing artworks from public school students across the Hunter in this fantastic opportunity.
