Years 7 to 12 composition workshop
The dance composition workshops are practical workshops for students in years 7 to 12 who attend an NSW Public School. The workshop is targeted at students with an interest in the compositional process and using improvisation as a means to generate movement.
About the program
Students will learn methods of improvisation, as well as approaches to transforming improvisation into choreography. Students will explore using physical, spatial, and thematic modes to explore the process of improvisation, as well as looking at the elements of composition to broaden their choreographic options.
Participation is open to dance students attending NSW public schools.

Cost
- Years 7 to 12 composition – $85.00
A 25% rural and remote subsidy is available for eligible students attending a rural and remote school.
