On Country Day: Schools Spectacular Acknowledgment of Country Experience

28 October: On Country Day - Cathy Freeman Park

 

We would like to invite all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, teachers and support staff involved in this year's Schools Spectacular to take part in an On Country Day at Cathy Freeman Park to experience a creative way of sharing culture and making connections with other Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The day will be used as the basis for the Acknowledgment of Country for the 2024 Schools Spectacular.

This is a free event, appropriate for all ages, and a new initiative to build connections with others prior to the Schools Spectacular show week. We would love you to join us!

The day will be full of cultural learning, arts workshops, yarning, creating, and belonging.

Time: 9:00 am –3:00 pm 

Location: Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park
